We build furniture the way our grandparents would have / from solid timber, by hand, and in no particular hurry.

The essentials.

Workshop No. 7
Craft

Every joint is cut by a person we know by name.

Our pieces are made in two small workshops - one in Jutland, one in Kyoto - by twelve craftspeople. Nothing is outsourced. Nothing is rushed. A dining table takes eleven weeks. We think that is precisely the right amount of time.
Manifesto

A chair should outlast the room it sits in. A table should outlast the family that gathers around it. We design for that long horizon, and refuse anything that fails the test of the next hundred years.

01
Material honesty

We use solid wood, real stone, natural fibre. No veneers, no MDF, no plastic in load-bearing parts.

02
Repairable forever

Every piece is built to be re-caned, re-upholstered, re-oiled. We hold spare parts for life.

03
Quietly made

Twelve people, two workshops, no factories. We make what we can make well, and nothing more.
